I am hoping to catch up on a lot of movies
I got The Silence of the Lambs on blu-ray...always such a treat
I remember renting that when it came out on VHS tape...brings me back to age 11.

So glad you dug the movie. I've been showing this to everyone I care about lately. Can't wait for my DVD to come.

Never heard of this, some nice synth on the soundtrack, nice sound design throughout.

If anyone here likes the Prisoner TV series, this doc is good.

Heres a fine interview with McGoohan from the 70s, he didnt give many.

Be seeing you.

Thank you, Poe. I was majorly obsessed with The Prisoner for a long time and still regard it as some of the smartest, whackiest, most entertaining TV ever made. And angry young Patrick McGoohan was a stone cold fox.

Rock 'n' Rule is a lot of fun, too. I love this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zl-GVkEj_0

Currently watching Unknown Passages: The Dead Moon Story and now feel as though life is wasted on me! Fred and Toody Cole did so much more in a lifetime than most people do in an hour. Inspiring, though. You're never too old to sell all your shit and try doing what you love.

Right yep. Dead Moon those two really lived their own dream. id like to see that doc. Thanks didnt know it existed.

Most of what ive been watching lately is documentary. particularly D.A. Pennebaker stuff. always good regardless of topic.
The only film films ive watched lately are Nightmare City. which I cant stop watching. its like a mad dream. it barely makes sense at all. It all just happens. and Return of the Living Dead. which I hadnt seen in years and recently rediscovered. both are sort of perfect in their own way.Though RoLD doesnt wear its madness on its sleeve in quite the way NC does. Oh and The Death of Stalin which was ok. Particularly good scene at the end where they quickly kill Baria in a kangaroo court. set fire to him and sweep his ashes into the sky. Sort of stays with you.

Return of the Living Dead is one of my favorite horror films of all time and it gets credit for reanimating the genre, so to speak, with its sharp injection of black humor. I'm such a nerd about it that I have a Tarman action figure on my desk.

Watched Alien: Covenant tonight. Pretty solid (and miles better than Prometheus, which seemed to pummel you with religious allegory in the latter half), but when you've watched as much Star Trek as I have, certain scenarios become predictable. Kudos to the filmmakers for not copping out on the ending, though. I'm sure there'll be yet another Alien film to succeed this one.

Yes, I was waiting for Alien Convent to come out when I saw Life which is a much cheaper and shabbier film than the new Alien, but I have to say that kill for kill I found it more entertaining. The first couple of deaths in the lab, the hand bit particularly. Entertaining ending too. Ill always watch new Alien films, even though i feel like they nailed it with the first one and are increasingly dull.

Yeah Return of the living Dead, masterpiece, Dan O Bannon, where would Alien be without him?
Or Total Recall for that matter. I must get round to watching The Resurrected at some point.

I was just recently watching the Christopher Nolan flick Insomnia (2002), not quite as good as Memento, but holy crap it was awesome!
