Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

Tell me more about this band please. I heard that one of them is handicapped, but I'm not sure if that is fact or fiction. It's like a dancier version of Maus.

ok, I know where that handicapped rumor comes from.

wes eisold, the guy behind cold cave is missing one of his hands.

wes was also in a hardcore band called american nightmare a long time ago that was extremely popular and influential.

I used to be a big fan of his old bands. its really weird for me to see you posting about his music, dean!

I'm not sure yet. Need to listen more, but it didn't grab me immediately like "The trees......" did.

They supported Ariel Pink the other week, i was a little late but caught the end of their set, they sounded pretty good.

Nopes. I was just coming here to comment about the latest tracks I've heard... utter utter dire.

Seriously, they've changed from this "cold wave" band into straight up indie-pop. I'm pretty sure that commercially it is a great move, but musically they have gone in a direction that I didn't expect, and I'm not thrilled by.

I'll check out the new album of course, but I want it to be more like the past, rather than what it appears it will be :(

im loving this lp. but it is completely pop. i can see where some would be disappointed. but that said, love comes close might be one of my fav 09 records.

The Love Comes Close lp is one of my favorites of the year. I was disappointed at first but it really grows on you!

I am glad I've seen this post, I just go the lp and now I'm gonna get "the trees grew emotions and died" because I am astonished that it is different from love come close.
I also read thaht a girl from mika miko plays with them today ? Those girls invade cool bands ( one of them is playing with the strange boys )

The guy behind cold cave use to have others bands... I love "Ye Olde Maids" http://www.myspace.com/yeoldemaids
