Maus Space

I've continually had a liking for the mystical, but it wasn't until I matured a little iota that I discovered John Maus!

"Plastic Raincoats in the Pig Parade" borrows heavily from the instrumentation in Bobby Jameson's "Do You Believe In Yesterday". :)

Love this song. I'm surprised it (and the rest of his music) hasn't gotten more attention since Ariel's last record.

I have always wanted someone to cover the Sly Cooper series music but only one person has done anything like thatthat I could find, at least.
Other games that have some neat music but arent covered seem to pop up every so oftenCrazy Machines 2 being a small example for me.

I cant cover most of them because most of the time I dont have the notes and Im not that great at composing musicyet.

Are there any songs that you think get overlooked?

the syncopated organ hits on beverly kills are from amateur hour by Sparks

immune to emotion sounds quite a bit like X by My Solid Ground

a chord progression/bassline he uses a lot appears in Gentle Persuasion by Doug Hream Blunt. Texture also

yeah i can hear it a tiny little bit.
i reckon it's a subconscious expression rather than a "sample", unless you want to get into the nitty gritty of what that means (which i don't 'cause i'm lazy)..
regardless, thanks for exposing me to a great track.
i'll investigate further

you've exposed me to many a great track in your day, Harry. thank you

yeah i just assume every song ever recorded exists within AP's subconscious

Another not-quite sample is White Night by Forum (particularly the song, but the whole album is worth listening to, at least side A). Chord progression rhythm and ending in 6 Major i think it is on Fright Night and Kinski Assassin. And synth and guitar tones. basically had a nervous breakdown first time i heard that album. finders credit to App of course
