is that not just go halve it all?
Hahaha that's what I was too afraid to say...

oooooh shit is that the same copy of house arrest/oddities ariel posted on instagram? how'd you get a hold of it? nice fucking find dude!
btw are the songs the same versions we've heard before, anything new?
Yep (well sorta)! Got it in the mail as a thank you for helping with the remaster effort. Slugbug is the lead technician, hence the Slugbug vinyl he sent with it. It's a copy they made me, so, not the exact same one Ariel posted, more like an "official bootleg"
The songs are mostly the same, but the whole listening experience is Jarring. It's all in stereo, and generally cleaner/with less hiss than you're expecting. It's all so rich, and was really rattling my speakers! Also it's all stereo!
So Glad is slower, differently pitched and has a bit more jamming, same with Don't Talk To Strangers.
Also, House Arrest is very bassy, and crossfades into Miyagis. The tape actually physically runs out halfway into the second
"AUUUUUGHHH" of Almost Waiting
Side B is weird, because a bunch of the tracks are early mixes, and it's missing New Trumpets & Netherlands. Like, it's Birds, then there's a pause, then Steviepink. I can just imagine Ariel looking at the tape counter, going "Oh shit, this isn't gonna fit!" and skipping those two haha!
Such a cool tape tho, Wish my car had a tapedeck, so I could really live like it was 2002!
When I get home, I'll take some more pics. I made some nice flac rips, but not sure if I'm allowed to share, I'll have to ask.
